Sultry, sexy or swinging sixties? Our favourite autumn make-up trends

Make-Up for Autumn

As with every season, our autumn make-up trends were decided for us long ago by the powers of the catwalk. We’ve got some bad news for all you lipstick lovers out there, this autumn is all about the eyes; 60’s eyes, sultry eyes, smoky eyes (that goes without saying) and luscious lashes; lips have been stripped right down to nudes.

As reworking your look to stay on trend can seem daunting, we’ve pulled together some of our favourite products so you can try out these key seasonal looks yourself!

Au natural

The ever-lasting ‘I just got out of bed looking like this’ look will stick around this season. Find the right primer and foundation for you to create a flawless, natural-looking skin, and the perfect canvas for the rest of your look.

60s eyes

Are you a Twiggy or an Audrey? These timeless sixties looks can take you from day to night!

Sultry shadows

Add some glamour to your day-time look. Not all sultry eyes need to be dramatic; keep the shades as light or as diverse as you like to create the perfect effect.

Take the go-to evening look into the day. Blend and diffuse the colored eyeliner with a smudger or a cotton swab. Then apply a coordinating eye shadow over the pencilled lines and blend upwards! Little effort for great results.

False eyelashes

Day or night, make the most of this trend; flutter those luscious lashes and no one will be able to resist!

Luscious Lips

With statement eyes, lips are very natural this season. We’re talking barely there nudes and the palest pinks so your eyes pop.

Clear lipgloss

Clear lipgloss should be a staple in every girl’s make-up bag, especially in the colder months. It transforms your (most likely) dry lips into shimmering, healthy-looking, must have beauties.

Nude lipstick

Complete your look with the perfect natural glow, in the form of a nude lip shade. It adds warmth to your chosen look and is ultimately, universally flattering.
