Summery Cocktails for this weekend's heatwave“It’s like a heat wave, burnin’ in my heart…
Ooh, ooh, heat wave
Ooh, ooh, heat wave”

That’s right – this weekend is supposedly going to be HAWT! So get out the paddling pools and the barbecues and invite your friends round for a garden party.
Although most people serve beer and wine at a barbecue, why not try something new and shake up some summery cocktails for your guest?
We’ve shared some of our favourite summery drinks:

 How to make Pimm's & Pimm's RoyalePimm’s Royale
Now of course Pimm’s is a staple in the summertime and this classic British drink packed full of strawberries, mint and cucumber just screams summer.
Why not add a sophisticated touch and top up with Prosecco instead of lemonade?
How to make sangria - sangria recipeSangria
The classic Spanish beverage is very simple to make and perfect for a summer’s day in the garden.
Just combine one bottle of red wine with 250ml of orange juice and 500ml of lemonade. Add sliced oranges and lemons and serve with lots of ice.
Make Fruity Cooler - Sex on the Beach recipeFruity cooler
Juicy and refreshing, this mocktail is ideal for a sunny afternoon.
Combine 500ml of both orange juice and cranberry juice and top up with lemonade.
Add your favourite spirit for an alcoholic twist.
Make Coke Float or Ice-Cream SodaIce-cream floats
Perfect instead of a dessert (or as well as) this is a simple but delicious summer drink.
Just add a scoop of vanilla ice-cream to your favourite fizzy drink.
The traditional ice-cream soda is sweet and creamy (and too sweet for some), but a coke float is also a classic.
Make Apple Ginger Sparkler - Summer Cider RecipesApple Ginger Sparkler
Refreshing and summery, this drink can be made with cider or Appletiser.
Add two tablespoons of ginger syrup to each glass and top with cider or fizzy apple juice.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
