Top Tips for Camping
You may not want to go abroad this year because of COVID-19. But you definitely should not let that stop you from taking a well-earned rest! Camping holidays have long been a favourite with UK families. So whether you’re a newbie or a camping connoisseur, here are some camping tips for your next trip!
Practice putting your tent up!
Perhaps most importantly, practice your tent pitching skills! Don’t be fooled by the easy instruction manual. Setting up a tent can be a tedious business. Make sure you try to set up your new tent before you go, so you know what to expect.
At Epoints, we have a great selection of tents to browse from, including this Arpenaz 4 Person, 1 Bedroom tent. Perfect for any getaway!
Don’t forget cooking utensils
Cooking can be fundamental to a good camping trip. If the food is not up to scratch, it might be curtains for the adventure. So make sure you take good utensils with you. We’ve made it easy for you with this 8 Piece Utensil Set from Argos.
Take a water carrier
Don’t get left short on water! Remember to take a water carrier with you so you can refill as you need to. It’s also a lot better for the environment as you use less plastic. Here at Epoints, we care for the environment. Did you know you can donate extra Epoints to the planting of trees! To find out more, visit our donate page now by clicking below.
Waterproof your tent
British weather is temperamental at the best of times. Make sure you waterproof your tent in the event of a, very likely, rain shower. When you’re practising your tent pitching skills, spray the tent with a silicone sealant!
Freeze your food and drink before putting it in the cooler box
Before setting off on your adventure, freeze food and drink before putting it into the cooler! This will ensure it stays colder for longer. In the Summer it will be a huge help when you need a glass of cold water.
We even sell cooler boxes and bags at Epoints. This Inflatable camping or hiking cooler is perfect for any staycation!
